Current answer
The September beta became open; its window is now over.
The September 5 announcement changed Closed Beta 02 to Open Beta and kept the Sunday 08:00 UTC end time. That is September 6, 2026. It superseded the earlier invite-wave rules for the remainder of that test.
The September 9 preload post and September 10 launch trailer concern the main WARDOGS game. At 12:27 UTC on September 10, the store still showed Pre-Purchase; these posts do not prove that your account can already play.
What changed
What changed in September
The earlier September 2 firing-range backend test was a limited notice, with no guaranteed evening of servers. It is no longer a future event.
Closed Beta 02 had a published September 3–6 window. Its initial preorder guarantee and limited invitation waves were followed by the September 5 Open Beta announcement. The end time remained September 6 at 08:00 UTC.
On September 9, the official Steam news published Pre-Load Live & Season 1 Changelog. On September 10, the launch trailer announced Early Access that day. Use the main game’s Steam entry for release access, rather than treating those posts as a new beta.
What this means now
Old access does not reopen the test
No later public beta window or extension was announced in the official Steam updates available at this September 10 check. The published end is a schedule boundary, not a measurement of the exact moment every server shut down.
The August Closed Beta and its recap remain historical. A retained Playtest client, a future registration, or a main-game preload does not establish current test access.
