Direct answer

A large test ended with strong demand and visible technical problems.

BULKHEAD reported nearly 500,000 unique players, more than 100,000 concurrent players, two nights as Twitch's most-watched game, a 4% refund rate, and an additional 3% of players affected by crashes.

These are the developer's own recap figures, not independently audited statistics. Do not add the 4% and 3% into a new combined rate.

Official self-reported results

The figures describe different measurements and populations. They should be shown with their original labels rather than merged into a new total or treated as current player counts.

Queues, crashes, and access pressure

The recap describes demand that created queues and technical pressure. A reported queue of roughly 50,000 is event context, not a permanent capacity figure. The page does not claim every issue was fixed after the event.
