Current answer
Wait for a new test; registration is only a candidate path.
The September beta’s announced end was September 6 at 08:00 UTC. You can register interest in future playtests through the official WARDOGS community, but that does not grant entry to an active beta.
Preorder guarantees applied to named past beta windows, including September’s initial Closed Beta 02. That test became Open Beta on September 5. Neither historical rule guarantees a future test or turns a Playtest grant into ownership of the main game.
Safe application
Use the official future-playtest path
- Open the official community signup linked below. It still describes future playtests, limited slots, and an older Pre-Alpha invite; treat it as registration of interest.
- Choose its Steam or Discord signup link only if you want to register. Complete sign-in on the platform’s real authorization page.
- If Request Access appears again on Steam App 1867240, use it only as a request for consideration. Its absence at this check is not a reason to use an unofficial download or key seller.
- Wait for a new event announcement and any required platform-native grant. Do not buy a third-party beta key or treat a submitted form as playable access.
Read the result correctly
Signup, approval, and playable access are separate
- Request submitted: you registered interest; selection and timing are not guaranteed.
- Client in Library: Steam has granted that app to the account; the relevant event may still be closed.
- Published event window: an official schedule sets when that test is intended to run; it is not live server telemetry.
- Playable access: the correct client and account can actually enter the event. A main-game preorder or preload is a separate state.
Before troubleshooting
Check the event before fixing the PC
The September test window is over. Check the current event and the exact Library entry before troubleshooting. No installation change can turn an old beta invitation into a new test.
